Privacy Policy

Data storage

All subscription data you enter is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud container managed entirely by Apple. SubWise has no server and cannot access your iCloud data.

Data we do not collect

SubWise does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Financial information (bank details, credit card numbers)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Location data
• Cookies or web tracking

Third-party services

Currency rates: SubWise fetches exchange rates from frankfurter.app. These are anonymous GET requests containing no user data, device identifiers, or tracking information.

Purchases: In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit under Apple's privacy policy. SubWise does not receive or store your payment details.

iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your subscription data syncs across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is not accessible to SubWise or any third party. You can disable sync at any time. Disabling sync does not delete your local data.

Camera access

The optional receipt scanner uses your device's camera. Camera access is only requested when you tap "Scan receipt." All text recognition happens on-device using Apple's Vision framework — no images are uploaded anywhere. Camera access can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings.

Notifications

SubWise uses local notifications to remind you about upcoming renewals and trial expirations. These are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external push notification server.

Children's privacy

SubWise does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since SubWise collects no data from any user, there is no risk of children's data being collected.

Changes

We may update this policy if the app's functionality changes. Updates will be reflected here with a new date. Since SubWise collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
